Bible Study

Meet Sunday mornings from 9:45-10:45 am. Topics range from books of the Bible to practical, contemporary, faith-based interests.

“JOY” Bible Study (“Just Older Youth”)

Lead by Pastor Bean, men and women meet on Wednesdays from 10:30-11:30 am preceded by fellowship from 10:00-10:30 am. In-depth studies include books of the Bible as well as Bible-based faith-challenging topics.  


Men’s Bible Study

Men of all ages are invited to participate in this study group that meets on Tuesdays from 6:45-7:30 a.m.


Women’s Bible Study

Women of all ages are invited to join this group. Topics include Bible study as well as Bible-based contemporary issues often accompanied by video presentations. Gatherings are held on Wednesday mornings from

10:30 am -noon. 



Children & Students

Children’s Church

Children ages 3 through first grade are dismissed prior to the Sunday sermon to learn God’s Word at their level. Volunteers present pre-planned lessons and activities for the children. 

 

Confirmation Classes

6th through 8th grade students explore the foundational teachings of the Christian faith under the guidance of our pastors and adult leaders. Meeting on Tuesday evenings throughout the school year, confirmation offers students an opportunity to engage in small groups, fellowship and service activities, as well as classroom instruction to not only understand faith, but to apply it to their life.  

 

Faithlab

Redeemer's Faithlab includes children in Preschool (3 years) to Fifth Grade. It's during our time together that we form a special bond in faith and learn more about God. Faithlab lays the foundation for a lifetime of learning and loving the Bible. It's about including the whole family. It's about discovering who we are as people. But most importantly, it's about strengthening our faith in Christ through Service, Fellowship and Education. This is where strong, healthy relationships start! 

 

High School Ministry

RLC offers a wide variety of ministry opportunities for High School students. We have fun fellowship, service projects, weekly meetings, summer mission trips, youth gatherings, and more. 

 

Middle Student Ministry

During the months when Conformation is not in session, Fellowship and Bible study opportunities are provided to help keep these kids connected to each other in Christ throughout the year. 

 

Nursery Care

Paid workers supervise nursery-age children (thru third birthday) during worship and Sunday School. Volunteers needed for special events. 

 

Vacation Bible School

Redeemer’s hallmark summer education experience (held the second to last week in July) requires a host of volunteers to carry it out, from teachers to decorations to set construction to registration/administration. 


Music

Contemporary Worship Music (11:00 service)

“Simple Truth,” Redeemer’s Contemporary praise band, is made up of instrumentalists and vocalist who lead worship. Audition required. 


Traditional Worship Music (8:30 service) 

Groups include the Adult/High School-age choir; Joy Ringers Hand Bell Choir; and Brass Ensemble. Come and praise God through music!

Worship

AED

Having an AED at church is a good thing. Having a plan so there is a rapid response if the AED is needed can save a life. If you are CPR certified or would like to learn CPR, join the AED TEAM. 


Altar Flowers and Eternal Candle

Church members are welcomed to sign up to donate flowers or the eternal candle in honor or memory of loved ones. The committee is responsible for ordering, placing and disposing of the flowers.


Altar Guild

Members prepare communion, change altar linens, decorate the chancel for festive occasions and oversee the chancel area.


Audio-Visual Operators (8:30 and 11:00 a.m. services)

Volunteer opportunities to assist with the soundboard and PowerPoint applications during the worship services. 


Communion Assistants

Men/ women (age 16 or older) serve during worship, assisting with

the distribution of communion.  


First Response Team

Volunteers take a few minutes a week to phone and welcome

first-time visitors. 


Greeters

Men/women volunteers welcome both members and visitors as they enter the church for worship. 


Lay Readers

Men/women (age 16 or older) serve during worship as readers of the scripture lessons. 


Offering Counters

This group counts, records and deposits the offerings from each service. 


Ushers

Men/women serve as church ushers on monthly teams.

Fellowship

All Saints Team

The All Saints Team assists with a variety of tasks before, during, and after funerals and memorial services at Redeemer to welcome and serve families who have lost loved ones. 


Bereavement

This ad hoc committee comes together on an as-needed basis to provide meals and/or post-funeral receptions for those who have lost loved ones.

Fellowship

Volunteer teams are assembled to plan quarterly events for the purpose of gathering members of RLC for fun and fellowship. Examples of events include the Golf Tournament, Church Picnic, and Mother's Day Tea. We have several groups that focus on gender or specific age ranges.


GriefShare

GriefShare is a special weekly support group designed to offer help and encouragement after the death of a loved one.  Join our study group to learn what God says about grief. Join others through the journey of healing as you lean on God and each other for strengthen and encouragement.  


New Members’ Team

Several times a year, this group organizes the New Members’ Class and Luncheon with the goal of making each new member feel welcomed and engaged by helping them pair their talents and needs with our RLC ministries. 


Small Groups

These are groups of 6 - 18 adults who meet on a regular basis in various nights of the week for fellowship, prayer, bible study, and service.  Facilitated by a trained leadership team, small groups form an integral part of Redeemer's ministry, offering members a chance to grow in their faith, their relationships with other Christians, and their service of God.


Spiritual Care

This 2-part committee oversees, with the pastors, the spiritual needs of RLC members. One visitation team visits the sick, shut-in, and grieving. The other team follows up with inactive members. 


Sunday Morning Coffee

Do you enjoy coffee and a donut during the Sunday School hour? You can make your fellow church-goers happy by signing up for a Sunday morning to help with one of these chores.
