  • Rev. Dr. Matthew Bean

    Senior Pastor

    Matthew Bean has served at Redeemer since his ordination, beginning in 2000 as Assistant Pastor, and then becoming Senior Pastor in 2010. "Redeemer has been proven to be a wonderful place to serve," Pastor Bean recalls. "There is a growing sense of anticipation and enthusiasm among Redeemer's members and visitors... a spirit of celebration."

  • rEV. rICHARD fINCK

    ASSISTANT TO THE PASTOR

    Rich Finck joined Redeemer’s staff in 2017 on a part-time basis to assist with a variety of pastoral functions.  Rich Finck served congregations in King George, VA, Callao, VA, and Chester, VA, before coming to Redeemer in July 2017. He has been happily married (at least for him) to Bonnie for 45 years. They are the grateful parents of 2 sons, 2 daughters, and 8 grandchildren. “Redeemer is a vibrant, welcoming congregation with a heart for Jesus and the community.”

  • REV. IAN THORMODSON

    ASSOCIATE PASTOR

    Ian Thormodson joined Redeemer’s staff in July of 2021 as Associate Pastor after completing his pastoral studies at Concordia Seminary. Ian has been married to his lovely wife Brittany since July 2018, and they have recently adopted their first dog. “It is clear that God is doing some amazing things at Redeemer, and I am so excited to be a part of it.”

    Director of community Engagement

    Becky Wade joined Redeemer’s staff in 2016 to manage and coordinate Community Engagement events and programs. Her leadership in this role enables Redeemer to form a ministry “bridge” with our neighbors so that Redeemer becomes a center for faith and hope for our community. Becky shares, “I feel humble and blessed to serve at Redeemer. Working side-by-side with the staff and congregation is such a joy every day!

    Contemperary music Leader

    Ramona Carper joined Redeemer's staff in 2022. Bringing years of experience in performing with bands and as a worship leader, Ramona desires to use music as a vehicle to help worshippers feel God's presence.     Redeemer welcomes Mr. Stephen Pruitt as our new Traditional Worship Leader. Stephen joins our staff after 35 years of experience in music ministry, including as the Assistant in Worship and Music at King of Glory Lutheran Church in Williamsburg since 2021.

    Director of Operations

    Vonya joined Redeemer’s staff in 2009. She brought over eight years of expertise as an administrator. Combining a wealth of professional skills, a bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, and most especially a heart for ministry "run well," Vonya's skills and energy has transformed Redeemer's office environment and online presence.

    Meet Maria Muniz, a financial expert with a passion for making a difference in people's lives. With a strong background in finance and a heart dedicated to helping others, Maria joined the Redeemer family on September 18th, 2023. Maria's motivation stems from her loving family - her husband, and her son - who inspire her every day. Her unwavering faith in God guides her through life's challenges and fuels her commitment to serving others. In her brief time at Redeemer, Maria has already built meaningful connections and made a positive impact. Her warm personality and dedication to our mission have made her a valued member of our team.

  • Kristen Jung

    human resources coordinator

    Kristen is passionate about helping people find their calling.  It just so happens her calling is here at Redeemer.  Kristen started as the Human Resource Coordinator of the CDC in mid-2017, a year after the preschool doubled in size. We are very appreciative of her skill set and are blessed to have her at Redeemer.

    Kristen is married and has two boys who attend Redeemer CDC.  She was born and raised in Richmond, and is a proud graduate of Godwin High School.  She held several corporate management positions before coming to Redeemer.  In her spare time she loves to travel, cook, read novels, and spend time with her family.
