Each year as a Thrivent member you have an opportunity to give back to your church community via Action Team Dollars. So, Redeemer is counting on you, to do so. Below is a list of ministry initiatives that we need help funding:

• 2024-25 Event needs.

  1. Wiggle Church - food on 10/3 and 12/5.
  2. Free Coffee Friday at the CDC - food on 10/25, 11/15, and 12/20.
  3. CDC Staff Training - 10/18 food.
  4. Fall Festival at AM Davis Elementary School - cotton candy machine rental on 10/23.
  5. Great Goody Grab - three cards for food, decorations and prizes on 10/26.
  6. Treats at Monacan High School - snacks for teachers/staff on 10/28 and 12/2.
  7. Treats at Providence High School - snacks for teachers/staff on 10/29.
  8. CDC Halloween Treats - candy for CDC kids on 10/31.
  9. Treats at Greenfield Elementary School - snacks for teachers/staff on 11/8.
  10. Christmas Giving Tree - Christmas Gift for dates between 11/10-12/15.
  11. New Member Sunday Brunch - food on 11/10.
  12. Confirmation Seminar - food and supplies on 11/10.
  13. Veterans Day Celebration at AM Davis Elementary School - food on 11/11.
  14. Treats at Monacan High School - snacks for teachers/staff on 11/18.
  15. Career Day at Reams Road Elementary School - Food on 11/22.
  16. CDC Music Day - supplies on 11/27.
  17. Treats at Reams Road Elementary School - snacks for teachers/staff on 12/9.
  18. Treats at AM Davis Elementary School - snacks for teachers/staff on 12/10.
  19. Treats at Providence Middle School - snacks for teachers/staff on 12/11.
  20. Treats at Greenfield Elementary School - snacks for teachers/staff on 12/12.
  21. Friendship Sunday - supplies and games on 12/15.
  22. Wiggle Church Christmas - three cards for food, decorations and gifts on 12/19.
  23. Blue Christmas - refreshments on 12/21 for those grieving.

If you have 2022 Action Team Dollars that you haven’t yet spent, please contact Jenny Riegel at Jennifer.riegel@verizon.net or at 804-337-7321 and she will meet with you 1:1 to complete the easy online application. 

We estimate that there are approximately 76 Thrivent members at Redeemer, and with each having the ability to obtain two Action Team Dollars at $250 each, this means that Redeemer could receive up to $38,000 annually in Action Team Dollars. By donating your Action Team Dollars to Redeemer, you truly are making a significant impact in support of our ministry and in service to our community at no cost to you!
